God tells us to love one another. We're a small church with a variety of ages and backgrounds. People visiting for the first time often tell us we're friendly and welcoming and that our services are very personal.
We want to build a Christian community that is inclusive and caring - one where people know they are valued for who they are, not for what we want them to be. That sort of unconditional love is demanding (and we've definitely still got a lot to learn!), but we've got an excellent role model in Jesus Christ, who shows us God's love in action.
Because Christian love is practical, it involves action as well as faith. We want to provide care and service for the wider community through the use of our buildings. So we're currently raising funds to refurbish our premises. This will mean we can provide community facilties and activities to benefit more people in the neighbourhood.
